Now I'm not saying what this 5 pound Hershey's candy bar (yes, I said 5 pounds of chocolate) is doing sitting on my desk right now...BUT...if I were you, and you were a parent with Pre-school to 5th grade age kids...I'd suggest you give God an opportunity to move in your family and your taste buds every Wednesday in March!!!
We're calling these nights "Bring it Home!" When I was a kid I used to love Little League Baseball. I remember one time I was running toward third, and my coach yelled at the top of his lungs, "BRING IT HOME SCOTT...BRING IT HOME!" That basically meant that I was to get my chubby little self around third and on to home plate right now. Don't stop at third, bring it all the way home and score the run!
That's the whole idea behind these Wednesday night's in March. Our Sunday morning Kids staff at both campuses do a great job of bringing it week after week to your kids. Now, let's bring it home!
We want to create an evening where parents don't just drop off their kids, but they stay and interact with their kids. They interact in games, teaching, worship, etc. As follow up, there will be discussion questions and other things sent home with you to discuss at home. Bringing the faith we learn about at church, home!
This is the first time we've ever attempted anything like this, so I'm sure we are going to learn a lot...but...I can tell you this...it is going to be something you don't want to miss! Let us know on your yellow card this week if you are planning on being a part...or shoot Megan (meganm @ pathwayag.com…separated to keep it from spam detection) an email today!
